What a great opportunity these students had to learn how to ride the train. For most students it was there first time on a train. Thanks to Metro, our students received free Metro Day Passes that allowed them to ride multiple trains to get to their destination. Students boarded the Metro in Norwalk and changed trains twice before getting to LA's famous Union Station. While on the train the students learned about the train maps and stops and how to jump on and off at the right time. While in LA, our students got to visit the famous Olvera Street. Students got to shop, visit different museums located near the street, and had the opportunity to eat at a Mexican restaurant. The students had a blast along with the adults who chaperoned. It was a great real life lesson that we believe the students will remember for a lifetime!
