Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year!
Wow! That summer went by so fast! I love the beginning of the year. Everyone comes back from summer refreshed, relaxed, and ready to learn! Hopefully your family enjoyed your time together and your child continued to read daily. I know mine did! Encourage your child to find me during recess and share what their favorite activity during summer was. I know that we are going to have another amazing year together! J
Please make sure that throughout the year you are able to join us at our monthly PTC events and meetings. A calendar will be included in your child’s first day packet. Here are some important dates to put on your calendar:
· Tuesday, August 12th: Class lists will be posted at 4:00 p.m. in front of the school.
· Wednesday, August 13th: First Day of School! Breakfast starts at 7:30 a.m. and instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. On the first day of school, we will have an open campus in the morning. Parents may come onto campus and line up with their children in front of the cafeteria and walk to their new classrooms. Note: Kindergarten/Transitional Kindergarten Parent Orientation is from 8:15-8:45 a.m. in your child’s classroom on the first day of school.
· Coffee with the Principal Wednesday, August 20th from 8:15-9:00 All parents are invited!!
· Thursday, September 4th at 6:00 p.m.: Back-to-School Night (more info to come)
I truly care about every single child’s happiness at school. My goals continue to focus on building positive relationships with students, parents, and staff; reinforcing TRIBES Agreements; setting high expectations for engaging instructional strategies for all students; supporting targeted instruction in reading, math, and writing; increasing the levels of critical thinking questions asked of students; and facilitating the use of technology and hands-on learning for students. All of these are essential to ensure that students are safe, happy, intellectually and creatively engaged, and achieving academically at high levels.
We are TEAM AEOLIAN! Here is to an AWESOME and SUCCESSFUL year TOGETHER!

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2014-2015!
Guau! Ese verano pasó tan rápido! Me encanta el comienzo del año. Todo el mundo vuelve de verano fresco, relajado y listo para aprender! Esperemos que su familia disfrutó de su tiempo juntos y el niño siguió leyendo todos los días. Sé que el mío! Anime a su hijo a buscarme durante el recreo y compartir lo que era su actividad favorita durante el verano. Sé que vamos a tener otro año increíble juntos! ☺
Por favor, asegúrese de que en todo el año que son capaces de unirse a nosotros en nuestros eventos y reuniones mensuales de PTC. Un calendario se incluirá en paquete del primer día de su hijo. Estas son algunas fechas importantes para poner en su calendario:

- Café con la Directora Miércoles, 20 de agosto de 8:15-9:00 Se invita a todos los padres!
- Jueves, 4 de septiembre a las 6:00 pm: Regreso a la Escuela Nocturna (mas por venir)
Realmente se preocupan por la felicidad de cada niño en la escuela. Mis metas siguen centrándose en la construcción de relaciones positivas con los estudiantes, padres de familia y el personal; reforzando TRIBUS Acuerdos; establecer expectativas altas para involucrar estrategias de instrucción para todos los estudiantes; el apoyo a la instrucción específica en lectura, matemáticas y escritura; aumentar los niveles de preguntas de pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes formuladas; y facilitar el uso de la tecnología y el aprendizaje práctico para los estudiantes. Todos estos son esenciales para asegurar que los estudiantes estén seguros, felices, intelectual y creativamente comprometido, y el logro académico en niveles altos.
