On Wednesday, March 21, and on Thursday, March 22, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Aeolian hosted its CST Parent Information Night. Wednesday’s presentation was for parents of students in grades 2 and 3, while Thursday’s presentation was for parents of 4th‐6th grade students. All students in grades 2 through 6 were encouraged to attend with their parents.
The purpose of CST Parent Information Night was to give tips and ideas to parents of ways they can help their children prepare for the California Standards Test.
Teachers at each grade level gave two workshops, one for Language Arts and the other for Math.
Some students played outside while their parents attended the classes, which reduced the amount of distractions during the presentations. Students who chose to attend with their parents learned a variety of test‐taking strategies.
The turnout on both nights was excellent. Altogether, about 75% of Aeolian’s families attended in support of their students!
